Now working within IBM GTS Advanced Network Solutions in Intelligent Utility Architecture and Design. Half-Wavelength (HW) provides high quality technical expertise in network technologies from architecture through systems technology training. HW is a new provider of network technology services in copper, fiber and wireless mediums with over 25 years of staff experience from circuit to system design. HW has specialized in SCADA communication systems from serial through packet communications working with electrical and water utilities in migrating from legacy to IP technologies. Our approach is beyond application connectivity to providing manageable, organized, scalable and documented solutions that can support the 30 year life cycle of networked systems to maximize technology investments.
HW calls the southwest home serving clients in the mountain and central time zones. Being raised and working in the southwest the past 25 years, we are familiar with the unique requirements of the region along with knowledge of access to radio and microwave sites in the region. HW is Alcatel certified experts in MDR8000 and 9500 microwave systems along with experience in DS and OC multiplexers and systems like the GE Jungle Multiplexer. HW also has experience with VHF/UHF serial and IP radio telemetry networks with equipment from Esteem, CalAMP and GE MDS. HW is fully equipped and experienced test and commissioning from serial, legacy to IP transports with a mobile and fixed lab environment for bench testing or proof of concept testing along with field engineering on-site. We provide detailed network and test maintenance documentation records for DC plant to sweep measurements to maintain equipment warranties, minimize Mean-Time-To-Repair and maximize reliability.
